Executive Director Position - May 2008
Habitat for Humanity of Glynn County, an affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, is recruiting for a
full-time position of Executive Director.
The Executive Director reports to a Board of Directors.
The essential functions are to:

Be responsible for the operational and financial execution
of board policy and management of daily operations. Support
the board and its sub-committees in overseeing various
functions of the organization. Reporting to the Executive
Director are a HomeStore Manager, part time Construction
Manager and an Administrative Assistance.

Provide leadership for public relations and fundraising
activities. Seek out and apply for grants as well as
explore funding sources within the community. Work with the
Financial Development committee to develop a financial
development strategy and assist in its implementation.

Communicate an energizing vision for Habitat / Glynn County
and be a positive leader who motivates staff and volunteers.
Be proactive in expanding an already strong volunteer
base.

Act as primary spokesperson for the affiliate. Handle
public and media relations as well as speaking engagements
to religious, civic and corporate audiences.
Qualifications:
·
Bachelor’s degree and at least five years managerial
experience in financial and administrative management.
Experience including a non-profit setting is preferred.

Demonstrated skills in fundraising and / or grant writing.
·
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Ability to foster and maintain effective working
relationships with the Board of Directors, staff,
volunteers, homeowners, and the community that we serve.

A strong commitment to the needs of low-income families and
prospective Habitat Homeowners
·
Proficient in standard computer software in an office
environment
